As a dancer and an instructor, I know the passion that lives within a dancer and the hard work and long hours that not only a dancer puts in, but the instructors as well as the parents/guardians. I believe that more recognition for this dedication should be given at a competition. Luv 2 Dance Competition Inc is a competition that has been started up to do just that. There are many competitions out there, but I believe that there is more that a competition can do to give the dancers a higher sense of achievement. It is the dancer's love and passion that bring life to the competition and make it possible, so why not have a competition that solely has their best interest in mind. As a competitive dancer, over the years I personally have experienced the aggravation and frustration of the standard adjudication system and the fairness of the marking system imposed. I have revamped the adjudication system to make it fair to all dancers. I want to give the dancer a fair and equal opportunity to be adjudicated by a judge whose expertise is primarily in their form of dance and one who is not fatigued by the long hours that a competition entails. I also find that by separating solos/duets/trios into 3 separate categorie levels it gives them a fair chance compete and be adjudicated according to their ability and not just their age. This year we have even added the Pre Competitive Division for groups so that those who compete recreationally are also given a fair chance in placement.  I don't believe that it is fair to have dancers with minimal training compete against dancers who have many years of training just because they are no longer novice. I want every dancer to get a chance to place fairly in their category. I also believe that a competition can give out more special awards, overall awards and more scholarships. We as instructors remember what it was like to get something so simple as a special award or as big as an overall award; we remember how good we felt and the inner sense of pride because we were recognized for our talent and love for dance. I want more dancers to have that feeling and be recognized for their dedication and to just get up there and give it their ALL and be recognized for it. With our new adjudication system and amazing special and overall awards,  not to mention our fun adjudication sessions like no other competition out there, Luv 2 Dance Competition Inc is the competition that will give the dancers that higher sense of achievement.  Dance is my passion, so I understand just how much everyone involved puts into this. I intened to make this experience a positive one where everyone involved will benefit and will go home with many happy memories. Having many years of experience as both an instructor and a competitive dancer, I feel that as the Director of Luv 2 Dance Competition Inc I am able to "take the competition experience to a whole new level".
